Pumpkin Bread

The fall season is not complete without a pumpkin bread. Nothing like a sweet and warm spiced aroma in your home when this beauty is baking in the oven. Soft, moist, and rich in flavor, this easy and delightful recipe is a must for fall. Here, I made my own pumpkin puree but a can of pure pumpkin puree works just fine.

Prep Time – 15 min Cook Time – 40 min Yields – 1 loaf

Ingredients:
Dry ingredients

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp pumpkin spice

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Process:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 °F.
2. In a large bowl mix dry ingredients and in another bowl mix wet ingredients.
3. Add wet ingredients to the dry and fold in. Do not mix it thoroughly, just as long as all dry ingredients are combined into the batter. This will ensure the bread is not tough in texture.
4. If the batter is still dry, add some more milk. Also, the batter should not be too thin as a pancake batter.
5. Spray oil or butter the pan. Pour the batter into the baking pan.
6. Place it into the oven. Bake it for 40 – 45 min. Then, take it out of the oven and let the bread cool.

Enjoy it with your family and friends over a cup of coffee or tea!
